Harvard’s Library Test Kitchen Is Pretty Cool

The Library Test Kitchen is an advanced seminar in the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Part class, and part funded-research, its goal is to “make things that contribute to the library discourse.” And they have made some pretty cool things. Here are some of my favorites:

  • Bookfeels

Selfie book reviews in GIF format. Great idea for a library’s website or social media. Here’s one for Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. HA HA!

  • The Speaking Library

An oral history project that aims to record, collect, and share our personal memories related to libraries. Wouldn’t it be great to collect and share these during National Library Week?

  • Time/Slice

  •  Spatial Googling
